My Dearly Beloved in Christ,
Greetings in the precious name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. As an Immanuel
family, we are blessed to reflect on God’s abundant grace and the joyous occasions
that mark our spiritual journey together. This month, we look forward to celebrating
Parish Birthday, the MTVEA dedication, Harvest Festival and our Parish Convention.
Four significant events that unite us in worship, fellowship, and listen to the Word of
God.
Parish Day is a time to pause and thank God for His guidance and faithfulness in the
life of our parish. The church is not merely a building but the body of Christ, where
each member is called to live in unity and love. As the Psalmist declares, “How good
and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” (Psalm 133:1). Parish Day
reminds us that we are a family of faith, journeying together in Christ, and entrusted
with the mission to witness His love in the world.
Another significant part of our life together is the ministry of the Mar Thoma Voluntary
Evangelists’ Association (MTVEA). Evangelism is not the work of a few, but the calling
of every believer. Jesus’ Great Commission challenges us: “Go therefore and make
disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). The MTVEA is organizing the whole night
prayer this year. I appriciet the efforts of MTVEA be a fruitful to everyone.
We also prepare with joy to celebrate our Harvest Festival—a time of gratitude. This
tradition is deeply rooted in Scripture: “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the
firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing” (Proverbs 3:9–
10). The Harvest Festival is not just a cultural event, but an act of thanksgiving,
acknowledging that every blessing comes from God. It is a reminder of the words of
St. Paul: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus”
(1 Thessalonians 5:18).
Our Parish Convention was another season of spiritual renewal. Through inspiring
messages, heartfelt singing, and fervent prayers, we were reminded of our calling to
be salt and light in the world. The Convention was not only a time of listening but also
a time of responding—rededicating ourselves to live Christ-centered lives in our
families, workplaces, and communities.
As we observe these occasions, let us renew our commitment to be a church that is
rooted in Christ, active in mission, and generous in thanksgiving. Parish Day calls us to
unity, the MTVEA calls us to witness, Harvest Festival calls us to gratitude and the
convention led us to live Christ Centered life together, they shape us into a vibrant
faith community.
With prayers and blessings,
